Objectives

The DialogEduShift project addresses the challenges posed by AI chat tools like ChatGPT in higher education, focusing on their integration and impact on student evaluation. With 65% of faculty unsure how to approach this issue, the project aims to: empower teachers with skills to integrate AI tools; enhance education quality using AI for personalized learning; foster digital readiness and resilience in institutions; and develop a framework for evaluating AI tools’ effectiveness and ethics.

Implementation

DialogEduShift’s concrete results:
WP2: Handbook on usage of AI language models in higher education
WP3: Guidelines on the use of AI Chat tools in higher education
WP4: Creation of a course for academic educators on usage of language models in higher education WP5: Dissemination through multiplier events and workshops for higher education institutions.

Results

The project aims at increasing the competences and understanding of academic teacher how to tackle the problem of usage by students large language models (AI bots) in the process of education. The project through its main results (WP2, WP3, WP4 and WP5) equips academicians with the state-of-the-art knowledge on how to assess, provide feedback and work with the AI-generated content by the students. The project is of the pioneering kind as widespread use of LLMs as ChatGPT 4.0 started recently.
